These photographs are from an ongoing project that began in 1990 when I moved from Pennsylvania to Taipei, Taiwan. At first, I struggled to find where I belonged within the culture, caught between disorientation and a longing for the familiarity of America. Over the years, I continue to be inspired by the energy and challenge myself to find order in chaos.
